Types of Asset Uses

Although land and buildings are not the only type of asset (which can include money, equipment, skills and experience of people and organisations) they can be used for a wide range of uses and activities.

The key issue is whether the uses of land and building assets can be financially viable and sustainable into the future for the organisation that takes ownership of them. Each asset use has specific challenges in achieving this.

What follows is a description of each asset use and a short commentary on these challenges.
